Proficiency in AutoCAD software, with a strong understanding of drafting techniques and principles. Experience in drafting and design for the glass and aluminum industry (curtain walls, window systems, glazing, etc.). Solid knowledge of construction and architectural drawings and how to interpret technical specifications. Familiarity with industry standards and building codes related to glazing, aluminum framing, and structural design. Ability to produce high-quality drawings that meet precise measurements, tolerances, and project specifications. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and production teams. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of additional software (e.g., Revit, SketchUp, or BIM tools) is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. A degree or diploma in Architectural Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Create accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings for glass and aluminum products, such as facades, glazing systems, frames, and structural components.

Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand design requirements and specifications.

Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly instructions for manufacturing.

Modify existing drawings based on client feedback, design changes, and project specifications.

Ensure that all drawings meet project deadlines, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Review project designs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client requirements.

Collaborate with the team to resolve any technical issues during the design and production phases.

Support the estimation team by providing accurate drawing details and specifications for pricing purposes.

Maintain and organize digital drawing files, ensuring that they are up to date and easily accessible.
