Job Description

Management Support

• Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Plan, develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure proper control; and ensure consistent, efficient and effective use of IT facilities throughout the Group.
• To identify and control risks to the organization that falls within the realm of IT Department.
• Evaluates reports, decisions and results of the department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of department and services performed.
• Keep abreast of trends and developments in operations of the IT Department and recommend new and innovative approaches to enhance the performance of the company.
• Ensure an effective and inclusive system for internal communication between departments.
• Ensure team members are made aware of the Star360 Group of Companies mission, vision and goals.

Hardware and Software Sourcing and Purchasing

• Evaluate and select readily available hardware and software that best-fit user requirements and ensure minimum downtime.
• Liaise with major vendors on matters related to software or application systems covering areas of hardware, software, installation, training, maintenance services, new developments and announcements and assist in the acquisition of consumable computer supplies to ensure adequate but economic stock of such supplies is constantly maintained and controlled.
• Promotes awareness of information and communication technology available in the Group to all staff.
• Keep abreast of the general state-of-the-art management information systems or information technology developments and advise the management on new opportunities for improvement.

Hardware And Software Maintenance, Support, Security And Training

• Assist users in the implementation of approved new or revised software or application systems by providing technical installation and support, training and on-site guidance of both data processing and personal computing situations.
• Reviews the overall computer system with regard to operations efficiency and security and establishes controls on access to information and proper data backup to ensure recovery should a program or file fail, become corrupt or be lost.
• Assist in establishing a comprehensive disaster recovery plan so as to ensure ongoing processing in the event that it becomes impossible to use the internal computer.
• Administer the local area network computer system, i.e., the maintenance of user information system.
• To provide general support and troubleshooting for POS machine-related problems.
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Min Qualifications Required :

1. The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Engineering(Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
2. At least 8 years of experience managing technology & information resources
3. Well-versed in network, hardware & software support.
4. Hands-on experience with SQL programming, Windows Server and Microsoft Dynamics Navision
5. Project management skills, including experience managing technology vendors and vendor relations.
6. Self-motivated, proactive, good-working attitude and results-oriented.
7. Must be willing to work in Empire Office Tower, Subang Jaya
