Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive health and safety management system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas of improvement
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety protocols and procedures
- Investigate incidents and near-miss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and maintain documentation, records, and reports related to health and safety performance
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to stay informed on health and safety regulations and best practices
- Monitor and analyze health and safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and implement sustainable solutions to improve health and safety performance and reduce risks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in health and safety management in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in health and safety software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel to various locations for site visits and inspections
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
